Team 2007 actually involves The Open category, and the Individual Category.  Nonetheless, only the Open Category students would be featured here, due to lack of proper records.

Team D’Trioz

Team D’Trioz was the only all girls team in 2007.   They created history for SMK Matang Jaya when they won 2nd place (Silver) in the Sarawak (Zone L) National Robotics Competition 2007 held in SMK Matang Jaya.  The team features Belinda Gibson, Lily Kho and Arfaezah Abdullah, and their project was called Durable Patrol Robot a.k.a DURABOT.  This team has little of conflicts among themselves and has always been regarded as one of the best teams in MJROBOTICS due to their unity in opinions, and friendship.  Despite hailing from different backgrounds, this group worked remarkably well together.  Belinda Gibson stands as their lead designer, while Lily Kho is their programmer.   Arfaezah on the other hand is entrusted to their proposal and presentation.

Team Spiral Magnum Escape

This team has talent written all over them.  Despite their numerous disagreements, Mohd Haziq, Salwa Khairunisa and Atiqah Athirah managed to come up with TRANSBOT (Transformer robot), a multi purpose robot which can transform itself into a tank, and also a robot when required.  The team turned heads at the 2007 National Robotics Competiton when they were noted as the most photographed team due to their large and sophisticated robot.  Despite those facts, this team is highly regarded as a team which is creative in designs and presentation, and should have little problems when it comes to pleasing anyone around them.
