MJROBOTICS Get New Uniform

The official uniform for SMK Matang Jaya Robotics Team is ready, showing off an awesome bright greenish colour. The green colour is a striking difference from the usual black based uniform donned by the team in previous years.

Each member of the team collected RM30 to enable the completion of the uniform which took about 2 weeks to be ready.

MJROBOTICS Sents 3 Teams To Kuching Competition

SMK Matang Jaya Robotics Team (MJROBOTICS) is all set to send 3 teams to the Kucing Robotics competition which would be held this coming Tuesday.

Progress on their respective projects are on-going, but confidence in the team is sky high.

NRC 2011: Here we come!

It has been decided that MJROBOTICS will be sending 3 teams for this coming NRC 2011. As said, the competition will be held in Bintulu yet again, so let’s cross our fingers for better results this year.

Relocation of Training Base Completed

We have finally managed to re-locate all our resources to the MPV lab which will serve as the MJROBOTICS new base. Unfortunately though, the relocations means that we will be greatly deprived of a computer. The school has given us one laptop to use, but with 3 teams needing a laptop, I hugely doubt it is enough.

We also have teething problems as most of the team members are active in other clubs/events hence disrupting training. How will MJROBOTICS fare this year? We just have to wait and see, but I’ll be honest to say that it doesn’t seem promising

Move Base

MJROBOTICS has been move out of Computer room 1, and is requested to use Computer Room 2. The problem is that Computer Room 2 does not have any computers, and is not accessible after school hours. Therefore, MJROBOTICS will be facing major problems in training fr the next few weeks. A solution to address this problem is now being drafted.

Completed ‘About Us’ Tabs

After working hard on the ‘About Us’ tabs for almost a years, it is finally done. Thankfully! Well, basicly, the ‘About Us’ features vital information for those whom do not know about MJROBOTICS, and it gives visitors a good idea on what they should expect from the team.

Apart from that, I admit that the updates in this column are not yet up to the current date, but I figure that I need to complete the other tabs first, such as the gallery and many other things to enable the website to be fully utilized by users.

Watch this website as it becomes more informative.

Something New To Come

I know, I have been trying to improve and complete this site for ages. Time constrain has been a huge hurdle for me to actually update this site, but I will make sure that this will site will be ready by end of 2009. Yea, I’m note joking.

At the moment, I am re-organising all my blogs and websites in which will see only good site to be up. I will include more photos into this site, and so much more information on robotics.

At the moment, you can see that there are some pleasent changes in this site, and I am looking forward to enhancing it even better.

Be patient, I’m very sure it will pay =)

First Words

Howdy!

After long consideration, the previous blog/website @http://mjrobotics.com, dedicated for my robotics team called MJROBOTICS had to be shut down. I felt there was no point keeping it as there was little to note support from those above, and there was no sponsors to keep the site moving. There was also very little news made available, making it kind of boring to update.

This site is different. The direction of this site would be different. I will enable comments, and I will update it personally when I can. I will not feature news on my team’s on going project, but rather create historical segments of projects completed and my past member since I’ve taken over the team. Will also do a profile on each team I have coached.

Nonetheless, this website is still under major re-construction, and testing. I am working hard to get it ready, but it does take time. This new domain is hosted together with my personal blog, and so, is hoped to be able to be kept alive.

Nonetheless, be ready for more and do come back really soon.
