2007 PROJECTS

Project DURABOT was built as a patrol robot.  It can move through rough terrain, and activate an automatic defense system once an unknown object is detected.  The robot is able to move in two directions, and make a possible turn shall it be be provoked.  The simple design of the robot also  makes it light-weight, which benefits its pace of movement, making the robot a fatal and reliable patrol robot. The robot was created and designed by Team D’Trioz.

The TRANSBOT project was one of the biggest project in the 2007 NRC.  It was designed as a security robot to attack and react to possible threats.  The robot is basically a tank when doing its patrols, but can be converted into a fully armed robot shall it be placed in attacking gear.  TRANSBOT uses over 5 NXT brains, and is considered useful for offensive attack.  The robot was finished by Team Spiral Magnum Escape.
