Project FLOODECH

PURPOSE
Flood Technology, or FLOODECH was designed to save humans shall there be a major flood, or flash flood.  The robot functions by creating a safe floating platform shall water rise in a particular area, and at the same time sounding a loud alarm to give those nearby ample time to evacuate.  The project was developed by Team Maxborg.

COMPONENTS
FLOODECH uses 2 NXT brains, but the technical aspect of this robot is something to be proud off.  The robot is 50% made out of Lego, while the other 50% is other materials, such as polystyrene and also usable items.  Flood water level is detected by using ultrasonic sensors, and there is ample use of touch sensors as well.
